AMBIENT GAMMA EXPOSURE RATES
Ambient exposure rates were determined for three quarters, using optically stimulated
luminescent (OSL) detectors supplied and analyzed by Landauer, Inc. The monitoring periods
were as follows:
•
Period 1: November 9-10 , 2011 to January 20, 2012
•
Period 2: February, 2012 to April, 2012
•
Period 3: April, 2012 to August ,2012
The OSLs were deployed at each of the four AMS locations.
The results for the OSLs, listed in Table 2-4, were reported in millirem (mrem) dose equivalents
as follows:
•
AMS-01: 157 mrem per year (mrem/yr)
•
AMS-02: 438 mrem/yr
•
AMS-03: 150 mrem/yr
•
AMS-04: 164 mrem/yr
