On asphalt paved roads yearly maintenance consists mainly of a distribution of a
15-year 2” asphalt overlay whereas on gravel roads grading, resurfacing, and
dust control is all considered on a yearly maintenance basis.
The construction of the road will provide year round access to portions of the Bear
Lodge Mountains which have previously been limited to snow vehicle travel during
the winter months. This will enhance the ability of emergency personnel to respond
to any needs which may arise in these areas. Complete maintenance cost estimates
are included in Appendix E.
XII PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE
Schedules have been created for the Miller Creek and Warren Peak Routes. The
schedules were created with the constraints of the feasibility study starting between
the second quarter of 2012 and the first quarter of 2013. Detailed design would
start in the fourth quarter of 2013 or the first quarter of 2014. The road
